Founded originally in 2010 in Brazil by Fabio Bendaña and Valeria Bijos after distinguished consulting careers in the U.S. and abroad, the company rapidly established itself as a leader in innovative architectural design and strategic investment. The firm expanded into the U.S. market in 2016, forming strategic collaborations with prominent New York–based practices. In 2021, the company rebranded as BSQuare Design under Valeria’s leadership, marking a new chapter focused on growth, design excellence, and client-driven solutions.
From the beginning, our philosophy has been rooted in anticipating client needs and delivering forward thinking solutions. Guided by a commitment to excellence and innovation, we continue to design transformative environments that enrich communities and endure over time.

Valeria Bijos - Founder, President & CEO
Founder of BSQuare, Valeria Bijos is an accomplished architect with over 30 years of experience in diverse project types and scales within both the public and private sectors. Her expertise primarily lies in architectural design, particularly in workplace design, with significant contributions to transportation, aviation, education, and institutional architecture.
Valeria has also embraced advanced 3D visualization techniques to enhance her design processes. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated exceptional skills in design development, project coordination, and construction administration. Valeria has successfully led various high-profile projects, ensuring compliance with local codes and seamless coordination with sub-consultants and project teams. Her expert architecture services and commitment add significant value to any architectural project.

Fabio Bendaña - Founder & Director of Design
Fabio Bendaña is an award-winning architect, bringing over two decades of distinguished experience in the design and construction industry. He has worked extensively with a wide range of municipal government agencies, industry-specific organizations, aviation related businesses, airport authorities, airlines, regulatory entities, contractors, and equipment providers.
Fabio possesses comprehensive expertise in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Customs & Border Patrol (CBP) guidelines, ensuring stringent compliance adherence and operational excellence.
Throughout his career, Fabio has led numerous multi-million-dollar national and international projects, consistently demonstrating excellence in design, construction, and project delivery.
He has extensive experience delivering projects of diverse scales and complexities.
